The Pet Food division offers nutritional solutions for pets. Symrise Pet Food is the world leader in high value-added solutions to improve the well-being of cats and dogs and the satisfaction of their owners.
To study food acceptance, feeding behavior and interactions between owners and pets, the division has four centers of expertise with around 1,000 dogs and cats. Symrise Pet Food serves its customers from over 30 production sites worldwide
Ensure the creation, validation and diffusion of NIR calibrations in our subsidiairies worldwide
(NIR at line and on line) in order to assure the good quality of the raw material, ingrédients
and finish goods.
Ensure the research and development of new NIR analytical criteria following post-processing of spectral data to assure the developpment of new products, to help in the choice of new ingredients and raw materials, to understand process
Recover analytical information worldwide to feed datalab
Explore, assure the feasibility tests, develop and disseminate new spectroscopic technologies for high throughput screening analysis according to new research and development requests, and quality needs.
– Manage research projects using chemometric tools linked to spectroscopic data
– Propose and drive new initiatives for the project to the R&D centers, Quality, Production in different Business Lines.
– Provide training and technical support for spectroscopic technologies used in the company.
– Promot the activity through publications, patents and presentations at congresses
– Manage fully the projects from the ideation to the industrialization and deployment in subsidiaries;
– Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant R&D Units, Quality, teams, production, business lines.
– Manage among stakeholders, communicate results to the decision makers and business partners
* Training minimum Bac+5 in analytical chemistry and chemometry
* Relevant experience (10 years minimum) in NIR spectroscopy
* Expertise in other spectroscopic methodologies : Raman, Fluorescence, …
* Specialist using different NIR spectrometers
* Good expertise in application of spectroscopic technologies in industry and attraction for on
field work
* Very high level of rigor
* Experienced and attraction for the team work
* Good communication skills (English and French mandatory)
* Customer centric (internal and external customers)
* Proactive and curios
* Project management skills with significant experience
