In the 2000s, an informal network was gradually set up between users of near-infrared spectroscopy around Montpellier, France and has built up to become a wider French-speaking scientific NIR network.
The aim of the HelioSPIR network is to become a center of expertise with an international dimension in the field of near-infrared spectroscopy for the French-speaking community.
The members of the network
are French-speaking scientists and users working in the field of near-infrared spectroscopy.
Near-infrared spectrometers,
chemometrics software, provision of equipment
between laboratories, loans from network partner suppliers for demonstrations tests.
